Seeking Successful Entrepreneurs!

Greeting from snowy New Mexico….

January has been a busy travel month for me. In my travels I got to spend time with great friends, such as Von, Steve (Grassland Investments), Brian (The Purpose Group), and Jeff (Yield Jeans). What is great about my travel these days is that I travel to build wealth lifelines and best of all….I have a choice on where and when I travel. Unlike my days a consultant where I traveled because I was a slave to my job….I am grateful for the freedom I am blessed with….which brings me to this blog’s topic……

Help me do some research…….are you a successful entreprenuer?

My business partner Emily and I have been talking about what it takes to be a successful entrepreneur. Emily and I “grew up” with some of the same mentors when we started investing in real estate. We actually were in the same seminar back in 2002…..or was it 2003? So Emily and I share a lot of the same history when it comes to investing.

One thing Emily and I are familiar with is that there is no such thing as get-rich-quick business…at least not a legal one. But we know there are some key factors in achieving true wealth. The key words here are “true wealth.” In other words, wealth that encompasses freedom. To clarify even more, there is a group of people that I call the “the one percenters” that are successful financially as owners of a business but are not a slave to their business. They may work as much as 10 – 20 hours a week, if not less, and are enjoying those things that are most important to them…i.e., family, charity, relationships, etc. I call these important things “lifeorities.” “Lifeorities” are those things that most of us consider priorities but those of us who are slaves to our jobs or our businesses push “lifeorities” into the “someday” file.
